Assistant Professor, Business & Management - Northwest Florida State College
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fulfill contractional obligations for full instructional load of 15 college credit hours during fall and spring semesters.
- Provide excellence in instruction within the Business & Management Department for undergraduate students, including online courses.
- Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
- Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
- Provide student guidance and support.
- Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Business, Hospitality & Management, the Dean of Workforce Education, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a master's degree in your focus of teaching i.e. Master's in business administration or closely related field OR Master's with at least 18 graduate hours in accounting, business, business administration, economics, finance, law, management, marketing, or closely related field
- Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in the concentration of courses being taught or a related field with 18 graduate hours in the specific concentration of courses being taught.
- Post-secondary teaching experience.
- Demonstrated success with online teaching.
All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time 9-month position is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
