High School Workforce Development Coach
Job Description
Position Summary
Under the guidance of the Workforce Development Program (WDP), the Workforce Development Transitional Coach (TC-WFD) collaborates with the WDP Director and a multidisciplinary team to deliver life skills workshops in partnership with local Community-Based Organizations and schools. The TC-WFD provides case management services to Transitional Age Youth (TAY) and adults, offering advocacy, resource referrals, and therapeutic support.
Key responsibilities include developing individualized success plans, case management strategies, and transition plans. This involves conducting intake assessments, designing service plans, monitoring progress, and implementing retention initiatives. Accurate and timely documentation is required for all activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience working with high school students or Transitional Age Youth (TAY), preferably in workforce development.
- Availability to work weekends and evenings during program hours.
- Strong skills in facilitation and classroom management.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in using data tracking systems, such as CMS, Salesforce, Workforce Central, or EMS.
- Knowledge of youth development principles and conflict resolution strategies.
- Experience collaborating with schools or community-based organizations.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including variations in ethnicity, socio-economic status, education, religion, sexual orientation, and generational perspectives.
- Current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or other languages.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
