Research Program Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator who will coordinate the administrative and scientific implementation of STRAIN clinical trial. Works closely with Glaucoma Principal Investigator. Some of the work will be independent and self-directed. Assist faculty in adherence to study protocols.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing materials for IRB reviews including the submission of new study materials, Further Study Actions (FSAs) and Continuing Reviews.
- Coordinate day to day activities of a research study. Assure that other personnel participating in study activities, including graduate students and/or post-doctoral students are trained, certified, and execute procedures according to study protocol and will prepare for patient visits by checking equipment, scheduling appointments and preparing both study and clinic charts.
- Needs specific expertise in ophthalmic imaging by OCT, tonometry, and research patient interaction.
- Oversee patient visits, abstract data, and make recommendations on protocol issues.
- This job requires the individual to be self-motivated and solution oriented.
- Also, position requires collaboration and teamwork with other research personnel and ophthalmic technicians.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
- Must obtain Certified Ophthalmic Asst (COA) from JCAHPO within 18 months of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ophthalmic imaging experience.
- Tonometry experience.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
