Provide Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Support to Helicopter Maritime Strike Weapons School Pacific (HSMWSP)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience: Former military pilot with a service pilot qualifications within the past 5 years and have, at a minimum, basic JMPS system experience.
General Skills: The position shall be familiar with the terminology and operation of aviation combat systems, specifically MH-60R/S systems and simulator Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF) systems for tactical events, which utilize JMPS as part of the event. The position shall obtain and maintain required security clearance. This position shall have the skills to evaluate collected data in order to efficiently resolve or recover missing and/or incomplete data using MS-Excel or other approved data manipulation software tools. The position shall verify that all information provided is handled, marked, and delivered in accordance with (IAW) the requirements applicable to the classification level.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Security Clearance: Must currently possess a security clearance of "Secret" or above.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the setup and operational (networked) linkage of multiple systems to support the planning, coordination and execution of Unit Level Training, Helicopter Advanced Readiness Program (HARP) events and Weapons School Seahawk Weapons and Tactics Program (SWTP) events in a managed Local Area Network (LAN) configuration.
- This position will maintain and update the Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File (DAFIF), Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphic (CADRG), Vector Vertical Obstruction Data (VVOD) and operate the JMPS/Mission Planning Lab and associated Digital Interoperability equipment (tablets, printers, etc.) at HSMWSP.
- Provide training on changing Internet Protocols (IP) configuration settings, mapping Network Drives, adjusting Network Attached Storage (NAS) Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) settings, organizing shared window folders, imaging and reformatting drives.
- Develop, in concert with Weapons School personnel, and scheduling advanced standardized user training for fleet HSM aircrew in all aspects of tactical JMPS utilization, Digital Interoperability, usage of portable tactical Situational Awareness (SA) systems and mission planning parameters and requirements.
- Maintain and update the Tactical Standard Operating Procedures Instruction's Mission Planning/Mission Planning Annex as well as the Mission Planning Standardization Instruction.
- Communicate and coordinate with multiple fleet stakeholders to provide fleet perspective feedback into how external products or new technologies can be leveraged for mission planning and execution and will include assistance with the development of input related to Mission Planning systems capability deficiencies in support of the HSC community for submission into the Enabler - Naval Aviation Requirements Group (E-NARG) process.
