ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Accounting team is looking for a Senior Accountant with a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will participate in the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations, assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews, and support ad-hoc projects. You will also review the work of and provide guidance to less senior team members, as well as collaborate with other teams within the Finance and Accounting Department.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Play a critical role in the monthly and quarterly financial close process by preparing and reviewing work papers, calculations, and account reconciliations.
  • Own and maintain the accuracy of the inputs to the revenue calculation, including data collection, validation, and reconciliation from multiple sources.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Revenue Cycle Management, Payor Engagement, and Revenue Integrity to obtain key information and resolve issues.
  • Investigate and prepare variance analyses to explain fluctuations of key revenue metrics.
  • Assist in preparing for audits, ensuring revenue-related audit support is complete and accurate.
  • Review work performed by staff team members, providing feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to team policies and accounting standards.
  • Ensure the preparation and delivery of high-quality deliverables that are thoroughly documented, accurate, and presented in a professional format.
 
Location: Remote
 
Compensation: $85,000 - 95,000/annually
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject required; MBA preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant license and experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience within a publicly traded company or public accounting firm required
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 606
  • Experience working with large, complex data seta and utilizing tools like Excel and PowerBI
  • Strong communication skills, including proactive communication and collaboration in a remote work environment
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong desire for professional growth
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of productivity in a remote environment
  • Adaptability, responsiveness to change, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
