Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, benefited Administrator 3 level position. Starting salary range: $110,917.00 - $125,384.00/annually, depending upon experience.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Dean is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance academic quality, support faculty development, and promote innovative teaching and learning practices throughout LCCC’s School of Health Sciences & Wellness. The Dean oversees a broad range of allied health programs and disciplines that are essential to the College’s mission of providing high-quality education and fostering student success. This leadership position oversees curriculum development, ensuring program accreditation, participating in faculty recruitment, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the department.
The Dean works closely with faculty, staff, and administration to assess student learning outcomes, implement effective support services, and address the evolving needs of the student population. The Dean collaborates with internal partners and local and regional stakeholders to ensure the School’s programs meet the needs of students, business, and industry in the communities LCCC is designed to serve and impact. Additionally, the Dean serves as a member of the Academic Leadership Team (ALT) for LCCC and works in full partnership with other members of ALT, as well as other areas, to foster active engagement in meeting the College’s mission and strategic goals.

Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: – this position Exempt and is not eligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA. This listing of essential duties is not all-inclusive, but representative, other duties may be assigned).
- Program Development and Oversight: Enhances program development and oversight by designing, implementing, and continually assessing health sciences curricula to align with student learning objectives and address regional employer needs.
- School Administration and Leadership: Strengthens institutional administration and leadership by guiding strategic planning, fostering faculty collaboration, and ensuring compliance with college policies and accreditation standards.
- Budget and Resource Management: Optimizes budget and resource management by planning, allocating, and monitoring financial and material resources to support HSW program goals and institutional priorities.
- Collaboration: Ensures a cohesive and productive academic environment by positioning the department in collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders; promotes a departmental culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement through sustained partnerships with all members of the Academic Leadership Team as well as other College departments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design, teaching, instruction, and assessment.
- Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and objectives of the community college.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards applicable to allied health programs.
Skills
- Capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on findings.
- Ability to lead, motivate and manage teams or projects, often including decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to group goals and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Proficient in organizing, updating, and maintaining accurate records in multiple digital formats. Skilled in using computer tools to ensure easy access, accuracy, and security of information.

- Must be able to plan, manage, and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Capable of representing the College in a professional manner, adapting to various situations with maturity, and maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the essential functions of this position a variable work schedule may be required
- There may be occurrences of interacting with employees and/or students, past employees and/or students, members of the general public, and others who express opinions, may exhibit strong emotions, which will require the employee to interact professionally, diplomatically, and appropriately in such situations
- While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work areas as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities
- There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting, standing, and personal computer use, which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor
- An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, there may be instances of somewhat loud environments.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Five years of supervisory experience, including evaluation of personnel and experience developing and managing multiple large-scale department and program budgets
- Two years of experience with curriculum/program management, development and assessment of academic programs including reporting
- Two years teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience in health care compliance, health care occupations, or health care administration
