Summary of Position

The Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire is currently seeking applicants for an assistant professor tenure-track faculty position in Exercise Science. The ideal candidate will have the potential to establish a competitive research program involving human subjects and contribute to a culture of equity, diversity, and belonging. This is a 9-month appointment with an August 2025 start date.

The successful candidate will be expected to 1) maintain a productive trajectory of impactful research, including extramural grants, 2) teach in B.S. and M.S. programs with a primary contribution to courses in research methods, kinetic anatomy, and fundamentals of kinesiology and biomechanics, 3) willing to support a developing doctoral program 4) supervise undergraduate and graduate research, 5) support relevant departmental, college, university, and professional service, and 6) work cooperatively with diverse colleagues and students. Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree in Exercise Science or closely related field by the start date. Also, the candidates should have evidence of an emerging line of research, demonstrate potential for securing extramural funding, and show strong teaching and mentoring potential.



Additional Preferred Qualifications

· Candidate with post-doctoral training
· Candidate with a research agenda that aligns with the department and college mission and are willing to collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Kinesiology and across the University.
