If you are ready to embrace each day, knowing that your work advances the mission of Notre Dame to make a positive, lasting impact in the world, then you have found the best role you will ever have.

Located on the beautiful campus of Notre Dame, this front-line fundraiser role supports the University’s development efforts. The Associate Regional Director works with a portfolio of 1000+ people to unlock the grace of giving in advancing Notre Dame’s mission. Using proven relationship skills, you will work closely with Development Department colleagues to identify, cultivate, steward, and secure unrestricted funds from benefactors in your specific geographic region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts that join together the interests of donors with unrestricted and giving society opportunities at the University
  • Develop relationships with current and potential benefactors whose resources will be integral to supporting the mission of Notre Dame
  • Establish and maintain a rapport with each benefactor to sustain the benefactor’s philanthropic relationship with Notre Dame
  • Create a digital fundraising strategy for your portfolio, including video and phone calls
  • Attend a significant number of regional and campus events as a representative of the University, following safety guidelines and protocols; evening and weekend activity is routine

  • Promote teamwork and support within Annual Giving and across Development, acting as a liaison between Annual Giving and other areas of the Development Department
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling visits, managing a budget, organizing contact reports, manipulating data in Excel, and reading reports to maximize work efforts.

Why You Will Love This Role:

Relationships are at the core of how we build and develop Notre Dame. If you want to work on a highly collaborative team that exudes positivity while exercising dauntless determination to hit goals and directly impact Notre Dame’s students and mission, this role is for you.

Work environment

You will travel to and call benefactors in your designated region, connecting them to campus and joining together their interests with unrestricted and giving society opportunities at the University. This role is typically 40 hours/week but sometimes requires additional hours for operational needs. Typical needs include Notre Dame Football home games and Notre Dame Day, our annual day of giving. We also offer hybrid scheduling (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Our mission is to be a Force for Good in the world, and that means supporting your goals, too!
