Academic Responsibilities:
- Teach 28 credits per academic year, with four credits of re-assigned time dedicated to didactic program management, totally 32 credits per academic year.
- Engage in student academic and career advising
Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Management:
- The program director is responsible for integrating accreditation requirements into department operations, assure that the program meets the accreditation criteria established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Food and Nutrition.
- Developing policies and procedures for the effective management of all components of the Health Sciences Nutrition and Dietetics program, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of prospective and enrolled students
- Supporting student recruitment efforts at the College
- Advising, evaluating, and providing counsel to students throughout their academic journey
- Identifying and referring students in need of academic support services to enhance retention and degree completion
- Maintaining DPD student records, including advising plans and verification statements, with permanent retention of verification statements
- Managing and resolving complaints related to the program
- Submitting fees, reports, and requests for major program changes in a timely manner
- Ensuring the timely submission of required documentation to support graduates’ eligibility for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam
- Regularly reviewing the DPD curriculum to ensure compliance with current accreditation standards
- Coordinating with DPD faculty and other stakeholders to facilitate continuous program evaluation
- Advise prospective and current students as part of the 4 credits of course release time and work in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant to provide verification statements, verify student credentials with CDR.

- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
- Earned master’s degree in nutrition or a closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years of post-credentialing experience in nutrition and dietetics
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the college level
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in areas related to nutrition
- Familiarity with accreditation processes, particularly with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) standards
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
