Job Title: Engineering Technician
Duration: 12 months
Location: San Diego, CA
Work Days: Wednesday-Friday (alternating Saturday)
Shift Time: 7:00pm - 7:30am PST

Job Description Overview:
The Chipset Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for performing chipset evaluations based on engineering specifications, troubleshooting complex electrical circuits and mechanical equipment related to chipset testing. The engineer will collaborate closely with the engineering team to conduct tests and provide detailed analysis of the results.
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Setup and conduct bench testing of chipsets and related test equipment used in manufacturing and software design.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in RF circuits, complex digital circuits, Unix and/or DOS environments, and mechanical systems.
  • Multitask and manage several responsibilities efficiently during a 12-hour work shift.
  • Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Follow detailed engineering instructions for complex troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Work within a matrix team structure and utilize workplace communication tools such as MS Teams, Slack, or Discord, as well as Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Workday.
Education Requirement: Electronics Degree, Electronics Certificate, CET, or Military equivalent
Years of Experience Requirement: Minimum of 2 years
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
Driving Requirements: No driving responsibilities
