Helena College University of Montana, a comprehensive two-year college focused on student success, seeks qualified applicants for tutoring in the area of Math (including Technical Math, Algebra, & Calculus) for the Fall 2024 semester.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Tutoring Coordinator, tutors provide one-on-one assistance to students with course work, study strategies, and course-related technology. Tutoring is provided both in person and online.
The tutor will work 8-12 hours per week in 3-4 hour shifts in the Library Learning Hub between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Tutors are expected to participate in several hours of paid training meetings each semester.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of two years of relevant college coursework completed with a B or better grade and a letter of recommendation are required. The ability to work in an educational setting with a diverse student population is expected.
