Job Title: Engineering TechnicianDuration: 12 Months
Location: San Diego, CA
Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Job Description Overview:
Measurement and Equipment
- Sets up and maintains benches, testers, and other equipment, with minimal supervision.
- Installs, upgrades, and configures moderately complex equipment and components.
- Performs moderately complex measurements and produces necessary documentation.
- Monitors equipment performance and analyzes failures or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoots and performs basic repair work, rework, removal, and modifications to equipment as necessary.
- Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform moderately complex tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Documents test results and maintains malfunction records.
- Executes test plans and provides some input on test cases and test procedures.
- Reproduces and debugs moderately complex issues.
- Conducts analyses to identify, troubleshoot, and/or diagnose simple technical issues, escalating to leaders as needed.
- Gathers and integrates data and information from stakeholders to understand simple specifications and develop basic solutions.
- Collaborates with individuals inside own team and with other teams to complete project work.
- Transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to mile.
- Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 45-50 lbs.
- Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
- Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
- The only driving requirement is the drive to and from work.
