SPA is hiring an IT Systems Support Administrator to act as the primary point-of-contact to the user community of secure information systems. This position is aligned with the Operations Research and Cyber Analysis (ORCA) division and located in either the San Diego CA, Chantilly VA, or Dahlgren, VA locations. This role will include the monitoring and triage of support requests, providing technical assistance, software and hardware (physical and virtual) deployment, and initial troubleshooting issue resolution. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated early career professional with the desire to learn, grow, and advance within the SPA Sea Land Air division's ORCA group.

Responsibilities
    Promote a strong customer service ethic, ensuring timely and effective support to end users
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all computer and system-related concerns from users
  • Provide timely support to identify and resolve IT-related issues that may arise in day-to-day operations, including hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Investigating faults in the systems and networks, perform analysis, diagnose, and resolution of complex problems, and recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Deploy, repair, test, and inventory software. Install, configure, and troubleshoot devices; track inventory, perform system patching and upgrades
  • Ensure software maintenance and coordinate with third-party vendors as necessary
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of hardware components, as well as the deployment and maintenance of various software applications utilized across different departments
  • Assist in the documentation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliant IT processes, protocols, and standard operating procedures to ensure that all IT operations are well-documented for future reference
  • Contribute to ongoing IT projects, including system upgrades, software integrations, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance the overall efficiency of the manufacturing processes
  • Coordinate services, troubleshooting, and resolutions with 3rd party transport providers
  • Coordinate and execute scheduled upgrades
  • Interface with third-party support and equipment vendors as needed
  • Some travel may be required
  • Work independently and in team environments
  • Position available in the San Diego, CA; Chantilly, VA; or Dahlgren, VA areas
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience years of experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years directly related experience
  • Problem solving and time management capabilities
  • US Citizenship required, successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Must possess and maintain DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification
  • Security clearance (Top Secret//SCI Required)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with system building and process development (Secure Host Baselines, Windows Server, Windows OS, Linux, etc.)
  • Experience in VMWare and virtualized architecture and environments
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching in multi-vendor environment (Dell, Cisco, Juniper)
