Information Systems Security Officer - TS clearance with SCI eligibility

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO)serves as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner. ISSOs are responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of security controls in accordance with the Security Plan (SP) and Department of Defense (DoD) policies.
As anISSOyou will:
- Operate and navigate eMASS.
- Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management i.e. Baselines.
- Conduct Audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly)
- Perform STIGS / SCAP on the network andSelf Inspections
- Assess Vulnerability and Risk Management
- Create and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.
- Create, update, and monitor/maintain Plan of Action & Milestones (PO&AM), Continuous Monitoring Plan, Systems Security Plan (SSP), Incident Response Plan and other SOP's.
- Track software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL)

A week in the life on anISSO:
- Reviewing and developing Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.
- Notifying the customer when changes occur that might affect IS accreditation/certification.
- Performing system and network self-inspections.
- Providing security coordination and reviews on all system test plans.
- Attending system Integrated Product Team meetings.
- Perform audits to Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
- Perform vulnerability scans and enforce remediation actions.
- Conducting security surveys at subordinate facilities and gathering pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages.
- Coordinating, preparing, and tracking IS inspections, reports, and responses.
- Maintaining IS security records andadvising on and preparing Co-Utilization Agreements.
- 7+years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and information technology systems.
- Special access program experience a plus
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Adept at briefing executives andprogram IPT level leadership.
- DOD IAT Level III:
- Minimum of one of the following Certifications:- CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, and GCIH
- DoD 8570 IAT certification and requirements [updated 2020] | Infosec Resources (infosecinstitute.com)
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications - DoD Cyber Exchange
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
- Adept at briefing executives andprogram IPT level leadership.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.The salary range for this position is$125,000 - $145,000.Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
