DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Audiologists, Clinic Manager, and/or Clinic Supervisor the Dispenser / Coordinator's job duties are focused around dispensing hearing aids and coordinating general office duties in coordination with Audiology within the department of Head & Neck Surgery. Sees patients independently to manage patients seeking hearing aids and performs hearing aid troubleshooting. Serves as a resource for patients, physicians, staff and ambulatory care service managers. Functions as department liaison between clinical/business operations and administration. Provides administrative support to the Audiologists.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hearing aid dispensing license from the state of California.
  • Effective communicator to team and patients with ability to organize and maintain clinical information.
  • Two years of relevant experience in hearing aid dispensing
  • Knowledge of the latest hearing aid technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal Skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance and 3rd party payors.
  • Experience working in a health care setting with physicians, students, and other medical providers.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
  • Supports team, department and organization-wide decisions
  • Works effectively and equitably with others.
  • Provides supportive and timely feedback to assist others in improving performance.
  • Recognizes and celebrates accomplishments.
  • Completes mandatory annual EOC (Environment of Care) training.
  • Clearly demonstrates knowledge of code systems (Code Triage, Code Orange, etc) and what their role is during an activation.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be willing to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Some overtime may be required per business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $63,016 - $78,384 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $30.18 - $37.54

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
