The Leadership and Organizational Behavior Area of the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate to begin as soon as Summer 2024.
The research associate will work closely with faculty primarily on research projects focused on fostering social connection, creating belonging, and advancing and communicating about diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidates will have significant experience with theory development, experimental research, and data analysis. Additionally, experience conducting interviews and conducting qualitative analyses would be a benefit. the research associate will be expected to advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication. A portion of time will be devoted to collaborating with faculty with an understanding that effort will also be directed at independent research.
QUALIFCATION REQUIRMENTS: A PhD from a social science discipline (communications, social psychology, sociology, organizational behavior, management etc.) is required by the start date and significant experience running in person and online experiments will be highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage and track research projects and collaborate with others. Strong written communication skills are desirable. Knowledge of online research platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Amazon Mechanical Turk, Prolific), as well as statistical software programs (e.g., SPSS, R or others), is strongly desired.
