We are currently seeking an Operations Project Manager who is a technically trained project manager with direct responsibility for guiding integrated internal development and manufacturing programs including client batch release through the Aji San Diego Site processes. Under minimal supervision this position drives planning, decision-making, develops implementation strategies and leads efforts for projects. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, however this position will lead cross-functional internal/external project team activities, as well as training activities. This role ensures the delivery of internal projects and programs as well as managing the overall client batch release process to ensure timely delivery of drug products to our clients and their patients.
Responsibilities:
- Manages strategic client and internal relationships
- Provides guidance and reinforces Project Management best practices to teams during all project phases through one-on-one interactions and group settings.
- Provides oversight of batch release process including oversight and management over all groups related to batch release.
- Responsible for developing and leading internal efficiencies to improve Turn Around Time (TAT), and on time deliver to client and to monitor and improve ARTFT (Adjusted Right First Time) metrics for Operations processes.
- Hosts project meetings to provide status updates to clients and internal cross-functional team members.
- Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget and scope, and conforms to predetermined quality standards.
- Manages customer project according to agreed Project Management methodologies (processes, tools, templates, meetings, etc.).
- Provides oversight and guidance on Aji internal technical and project management processes including management of budget, scope and timelines.
- Develop and leverage a network across all site functions to ensure established processes are followed.
- Serves as a single over-arching point of contact for all internal and external project stakeholders.
- Plans and facilitates interactions between clients and internal project teams for Operations projects and programs.

- Use judgement and discretion to maintain consensus and support among independent stakeholders in a rapidly changing environment.
- Analyze data, determine results and present conclusions and recommendations ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with the agreed scope timelines, policies and procedures.
- Organize, schedule and track internal CMC projects to meet internal stake holder requirements and agreed timelines.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.
- Embodies Aji Bio-Pharma's cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.
- English fluency is necessary for communication with co-workers and managers about safety matters and ensuring job duties and process are completed in an efficient manner in accordance with FDA requirements and internal SOPs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in a life sciences or business discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Biotech/Pharma or CMO. Minimum of 5 years in Project Management.
- Strong computer skills, MS Office, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS-Project.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FDA, cGMP, and industry guidelines related to aseptic fill finish
- Strong understanding of project management principles including budgeting, timelines and working with cross functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in California is $92,941.42 - $132,208.53
The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
