EMC Engineer
Job Description
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn to perform EMC tests with supervision per the requirements detailed in national and international regulatory standards and test procedures in a laboratory environment. Full-time exempt position for TUV SUD Product Service Division. This is an entry level, test engineering position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Interpret an EMC Test Plan.
Set up of basic RF Emissions Tests.
Set up of basic RF Immunity Tests.
Electrostatic Discharge Testing
Learn Basic Electrical Transient Tests.
Troubleshoot RF test systems.
Setup, configure and validate customer projects and equipment to prepare them for testing.
Learn how to set up and operate common EMC lab equipment including, but not limited to: Oscilloscopes, RF Signal Generation devices, RF Receivers & Spectrum Analyzers, Amplifiers, Function Generators, RF Power Meters, Voltmeters, Fiber Optic Remote Monitoring Systems.

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma, or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
Working knowledge of and proficiency in the use of most MS Office 365 applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Accurate, clear, and timely communication of information, upward and lateral, including verbal, written and listening skills.
Customer focused, possesses good communications skills, works well in a team environment, takes direction positively, and contributes to the group.
Self-directed, improvement minded, and an ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Communicate in a courteous and effective manner with internal and external customers.
