Job Title: Financial Aid Student Assistant Work Study
Location: Marshalltown Community College
Department: Financial Aid
Reports to: Associate Director of Financial Aid
Rate of Pay: $10.00/hour
Summary: The purpose of this position is to support the Financial Aid team with all aspects of providing guidance to students.
Job Duties:
- Assists students and parents by answering their financial aid questions by phone or walk-ins.
- Performs routine tasks such as scanning and projects of a clerical, and/or administrative nature.
- Provides backup for the financial aid office by taking student payments, printing statements, answering phones, etc.
Abilities:
- Ability to handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion.
- Must have working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn new software (Jenzabar EX - Student Information System).
- High attention to detail.
- Maintain college GPA that meets or exceeds the IVCCD Standards of Academic Progress.
Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
