Job Description

This is a full-time position, 1.0 FTE, working as a member on one of three CALES Business Teams within Division Business Services. The position possess skills focused on contributing to the growth and development of the office and provide support with financial tasks including effective management of day-today transactions, financial/data analysis and financial compliance. Professional demeanor, customer service, and teamwork are required for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supports the daily operations of a unit with $14M-$39M operating budget, through the initiation and reconciliation of various transactions such as PCards, travel reimbursements, disbursement vouchers, and purchase orders.
  • Works with faculty, PIs, and other team staff to ensure fiscal and operational compliance with University policies and guidelines.
  • Supports the daily operations through processing and payment of utilities, gas/fuel programs, and other services.
  • Acts as a point of contact and a resource in the documentation of financial and operational procedures within a specific field of accounting (internal audit, general accounting, joint ventures accounting, joint ventures audit, taxation, or a combination of the aforementioned).

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years experience working with accounting principles and/or finance and operations

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
