Job Description

This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Center Drive and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Sr. Project Manager independently leads and directs multiple projects and/or programs of medium to large size and complexity. Plans, manages and evaluates cross-functional/cross-organizational systems, develop/implement projects with high risk/impact financial, operational or legal implications. Anticipates project or program risks and plans with appropriate action to avoid or mitigate risks to project schedules, budget, deliverables, quality and staffing. Provides leadership and decision making ability where competing interests and priorities involve the highest levels of management.

This role will manage projects, acquisitions and the relationship between the IS Epic team, and Ambulatory operations teams. It will drive communication and collaboration on high-profile initiatives across multiple service lines within the enterprise, to organize priority efforts and projected pipelines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of the project and program life cycle (PLC).
  • Utilize broad technical knowledge of IT disciplines, specialized knowledge of the organization's mission/business needs, and the healthcare industry in general to manage large-scale projects and programs effectively.
  • Facilitate multi-organizational collaboration on IT requests, prioritization, and forecasting amongst top-level executives.
  • Conduct assigned projects/programs in accordance with PMO project and program management methodology, approved plans and stakeholder expectations; uses and coaches others on the PMO's project and program management methodology /tools.
  • Manages relationships with stakeholders, jurisdictions, and oversee the integration of all resources from employees to vendors. Tracks the progress of employees, contractors, and vendors throughout the project.
  • Directs and coordinates activities supporting multiple smaller projects with multiple project managers. Provides hands-on leadership and process subject matter expertise to project/program teams and senior level management.
  • Develop and maintain project schedule using PMIS tools, (e.g. MS Project, Clarity, Service Now) to include WBS, task dependencies, durations, resource assignments, and critical path.
  • Travel to sites and work in client designated areas as required including construction sites and areas under renovations.
  • Attend project and deployment meetings.
  • Oversee project financials, including managing billing and receivable process.
  • Monitor progress of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Build and maintain superior client relations.
  • Hardware Installation: Project manager coordinates field installations with the relevant team leads.
  • Conduct technical dress rehearsal with Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Facilitate on-site Go Live Project Management tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training. Related experience: project management, project management applications (e.g. Clarity, Service Now), and/or IS technical support.

  • Requires effective communication and organization skills.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.

  • Demonstrated advanced organization and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques.

  • Proven leadership ability. Effective problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • One (1) or more years of relevant experience - facilities/construction project management, clinical acquisitions, clinical systems (EMR), program management, project management tools/applications (Clarity, ServiceNow, etc.)

  • Applied knowledge of project management best practices and frameworks such as PMI's Body of Knowledge or System Development Lifecycle.

  • Healthcare and IT industry experience.

  • Professional experience and proven success managing IT infrastructure in an construction environment.

  • Healthcare and Construction industry experience.

  • Verifiable designs for large-enterprise data networks (copper and fiber) and Server Room layouts.

  • Experience leading projects to install structured cabling including backbone and horizontal cabling systems.

  • Proficient in reading architectural and system design drawings.

  • CAPM, PMP Project Management Institute certification and/or other formal project management training.

  • Experience with large, academic medical center IS projects.

  • Vendor management experience.

  • Construction Drawing analysis

  • Application of plans and specifications.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • This position requires the ability to be onsite up 40%, both planned and ad hoc.

  • Must be able to work onsite various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
