Job Title

Special Projects Program Coordinator

Job Description

Notre Dame’s Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate (FIRE) educates and inspires exceptional students, conducts world-class research, and engages with an unparalleled network of industry professionals to create places of lasting value. Through rigorous scholarship and multidisciplinary collaborations, FIRE strives to be the top real estate program in the country, doing so in a way that promotes Notre Dame’s mission to be a force for good in our nation and world.
The Special Projects Program Coordinator provides high-level strategic, creative, and administrative support to the Executive Director of the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate, overseeing a variety of operational, logistical, and relationship management duties. The role involves facilitating communications, coordinating and participating in complex meetings, and managing individual and Institute-level calendars. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, and the capacity to interact with high-level professionals both inside and outside the University.

Position Duties:
  • This position will participate in Institute meetings and collaborate with the Institute’s faculty, staff, and academic partners. This position will also assist the Executive Director and Operations Manager with the execution of Institute programs and events in support of the Institute’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase external engagement with the Institute’s ever-expanding groups of constituents (3,500 alumni/parents, FIRE Fellows, Advisory Board, as well as constituents with a passion for affordable housing and church properties). Tactics include email communications, Zoom meetings, engaging social media content, and face-to-face meetings. Additionally, the position will be responsible for initiating and creating additional constituent groups as the Institute grows.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies catering to external stakeholders, including Advisory Board and FIRE Fellows. This will involve working closely with the Executive Director, Associate Director and other FIRE staff members to understand programs, initiatives, and content created and strategically sharing information to relevant and aspirational stakeholders. By effectively curating and disseminating information to these audiences, this position will contribute to enhancing the Institute’s visibility and engagement with its diverse audience.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive metrics related to engagement with each constituency that FIRE serves, with the intent of providing valuable support to the Institute, as well as establishing best-practices supported by data. This will involve creating and managing systems to gather and analyze data, enabling the Institute to gain valuable insights on what works, and using analytics to determine when to implement new tactics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) and 6 to 12 months of experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be extremely organized and skilled in relationship building.
