The WiCyS mission is to recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity to build a robust and diverse cybersecurity workforce. As a 501c3 nonprofit, the organization operates on a membership and partner/sponsor business model.

WiCyS is a global community of women, allies and advocates, who are dedicated to bringing talented women together to celebrate and foster their passion and drive for cybersecurity. We unite local communities of aspiring and thriving women cybersecurity professionals across the world to collaborate, share their knowledge, network and mentor. We create opportunities through professional development programs, conferences, career fairs and more.

Position Summary:

The Program coordinator will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution and coordination of various programs within the WiCyS organization. This dynamic role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The program coordinator will work closely with a diverse team, ensuring the programs run accordingly, deadlines are met, and objectives are achieved. They will manage and design programs that align with the organization’s mission. The Program coordinator role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our programs, make a positive impact on our community and further our mission to recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate assigned programs according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including stakeholders, program directors, and managers, to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication among program participants, team members and stakeholders. Provide regular updates and reports on program status.
  • Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during program implementation.
  • Develop solutions to overcome obstacles and communicate issues with all stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at various events including networking, public speaking, and member recruitment.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the annual WiCyS conference.
  • Monitor and collect program data to inform future programming efforts, distribute to stakeholders and measure program success.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel required: 10-15%

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
