Summary of Position
Plymouth State University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice position that will support the Master of Science in Athletic Training and the Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences programs, starting in the Fall semester of 2025. The MS degree in Athletic Training was established in 2002 and has a 96% BOC pass rate. The MS in Athletic Training program is a 2-year, 62-credit degree. The BS in Allied Health Sciences was designed to prepare students to pursue graduate education in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, among others. Qualified students in the BS in Allied Health Sciences may apply for early admission into the MS in AT, completing both programs in 3+2 (years). We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who is interested in teaching excellence, service to the University, and collaboration with other faculty. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate and graduate students. Professor of Practice Faculty positions are full time, 9-month, with benefits, and the teaching load is 30-32 credits per year.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
- Current expertise in athletic training education and the profession.
- Earned masters degree in Athletic Training, Education, Kinesiology or other related field with broad preparation for teaching and leadership in athletic training education. BOC certification and eligibility for NH State License as an athletic trainer.
- Previous clinical athletic training experience.
- Evidence of quality teaching experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctoral degree in Athletic Training, Education, Kinesiology or other related field.
- Interest in high impact learning in an undergraduate and graduate setting.
- Advanced clinical skills, instructor certification for BLS for Healthcare Provider experience.
- Enthusiasm for inter-professional education

The Health and Human Performance Department is the second largest department at PSU with 16 full time and 50 part time faculty and approximately 430 students in Exercise & Sport Physiology, Athletic Training, Adventure Education, Allied Health Sciences, Public Health, and Physical Education. PSU has a competitive and robust Div. III intercollegiate athletic program and the AT program is affiliated with several area high schools and private schools.
