The Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) facilitates faculty career success and growth through professional development activities, mentorship and leadership training for faculty in the School of Medicine, Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. OFA collects and analyzes faculty data to develop evidence-based effective programming and initiatives to enhance success, recruitment, and retention of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive faculty.
The Faculty Affairs Program and Evaluation Analyst supports ongoing research and evaluation of the various evidence-based faculty development programs in the office and Health Sciences faculty demographics and climate data. The incumbent will be a key member of the data team and contributes to the design, implementation and documentation of quantitative assessments. In addition, the incumbent will make significant contributions to the development and preparation of research and evaluation related products including presentations, publications, proposals, and training materials. Incumbent will research and integrate data from a variety of national, state, university, and campus sources into data systems, interpret and synthesize data results, create reports, make recommendations, and disseminate information to a wide audience through both formal and informal presentations. The incumbent is responsible for the data management, documentation, cleaning and storage and perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed.
The incumbent is also responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs, courses and activities sponsored by the Health Sciences Office of Faculty Affairs. The incumbent is responsible for researching best practices; collecting, analyzing and evaluating data to improve programs' effectiveness; staying current on training pedagogy; and introducing innovative methods and tools to achieve desired outcomes. Skills critical to this role include ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines, adapt to new policy and practices, and work efficiently with a variety of stakeholders simultaneously.
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSeven years of related experience, education/training, OR an Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses. Strong attention to detail and accuracy utilizing experience with data collection, analysis, management, and presentation.
Analytical / problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills, analytical skills and long-range planning skills with meticulous attention to required detail, ability to identify future contingencies.
Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software (Excel, Numbers or equivalent) in order to clean and analyze complex and diverse computer-generated data and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) for data reports, manuscripts, grant proposals and public dissemination of data.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Working knowledge and experience in data management computer applications, query tools (e.g. SQL) and relational databases in order to extract data from existing systems and restructure data in a manner that allows for robust analysis and information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in a diverse team with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions and competing demands.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (e.g. longitudinal analysis and analysis of survey data). Proficiency in organizing and reporting data with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Strong policy analysis techniques.

Experience in interpreting and evaluating research data.

- Advanced degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training preferred.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
