Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Nursing Assistant Instructor. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching nursing assistant courses at Paynesville High School. You will play a crucial role in assigning, supervising, and assessing students to ensure their academic and practical success.
As a key team member, you will help maintain a supportive and effective learning environment. Responsibilities also include designing and revising curriculum, and producing instructional materials. Minimum Qualifications
Must meet minimum qualifications for faculty credentialing in Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide. Please refer to the MN State credentialing website at: http://www.minnstate.edu/system/asa/academicaffairs/cfc/index.html
• Education: Diploma or associate degree in nursing.
• Occupational Experience Requirement: Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience of direct patient care, one year must be in long term care.
• Recency Requirement: One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
• Professional Requirement: Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
All Nursing faculty must meet the requirements as determined by clinical sites and/or facilities. This may include, but is not limited to, drug and/or alcohol testing. Failure to meet the clinical sites and/or facilities requirements may result in termination during the probationary period.
Preferred Qualification
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing, nursing education, nursing administration, public health nursing, nursing clinical specialty, or a Master’s degree in relevant field
• Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
• Three years of LTC experience
• Ability to work with and relate to a diverse student population
• Willingness to work flexible hours during the day, evening and/or weekend days
