Job Description

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team in Network Infrastructure Sales. The Nokia Canadian Enterprise Sales team is building a world class sales team focused on the top Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 service providers; energy and utility companies; provincial and local government; and Enterprise in Canada.

The successful candidate will need to maintain and establish strong relationships with customers and agencies responsible for Digital Transformation, WAN, Broadband Deployment, Security, Data Center, and Cloud/Hosting solutions.

Our focus will be on stimulating and growing sales of Nokia NI products and services into the marketplace.


As part of our team, you will:

  • Be a lead interface for pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
  • Establish relationships with target customers across all roles within the operator (CxO, engineering, operations, marketing, etc.)
  • Partner with sales engineers to understand customer challenges and requirements, then drive orders by providing innovative solutions and product development in support of operator needs
  • Articulate the Nokia vision on technologies and solutions toward the Customer
  • Present proactive solutions and recommendations to management, customers and/or external audiences that include IP, Optics, Broadband and Security products and services that can benefit customer's needs.
  • Position Nokia as a thought leader on key technological developments
  • Maintain a sales forecast in Salesforce.com which includes high/medium/low probability opportunities
  • Work with internal bids and proposals team to create proposals for solutions and services
  • Complete annual training requirements in support of building sales skills and increasing product knowledge
  • Travel: Approx 20% travel required across designated customers

You have:

  • At least 10 years' experience in Direct Sales, Presales, or Business Development selling within the telecom or IT space.
  • Track Record of New Business Development Sales
  • Working Experience in Global Matrix Companies preferred
  • Experience in working in a multinational and multi-cultural organization
  • Results focused - must have a solid track record with proven ability to identify, qualify and close deals.
  • A natural entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering determination to succeed
  • Excellent understanding of the end-to-end mobile/fixed carrier arena, its opportunities, and challenges.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • A good understanding of Nokia's IP, FTTH, Optical, and Security technologies as well as application-oriented solutions
  • Candidate should be able to align these technologies to the business objectives/challenges of the verticals being targeted
