Minneapolis College is seeking a part-time, limited Student Worker Paraprofessional in the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center. This position provides support to the EOC director, coordinator, staff and participants in areas of providing check-in services to new and current students, intake, data collections and entry. Direct services provided to participants, work with staff on outreach materials and support at workshops and staffing tabling events.
This position may be eligible for telework according to the Minneapolis College’s telework guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate program.
- If the student is enrolled at a credit-granting institution he or she must be carrying at least six semester (nine quarter) credits.
- If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, the student must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter.
- Graduate students shall be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation.
- Correspondence or GED classes will generally not satisfy enrollment criteria.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, including telephone, scheduling, intake.
- Experience with diverse low-income, first-generation students, and students with disabilities.
- Demonstrated self-starter with good organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient with computer technology including Microsoft Office, e-mail, on-line databases, and internet.

Must be in good standing with Minneapolis College.

10am – 3pm
