The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a multi-year project dedicated to advancing stem cells and nanotechnology for bone regeneration and age-related skeletal disease treatment. Position Overview:
The successful candidate will participate in innovative research endeavors and collaborate with a diverse team of experts specializing in biomaterials, drug/gene delivery systems, stem cell biology, molecular biology, and animal surgical techniques. This position provides an exceptional platform for gaining extensive experience and training in translational medicine.
Qualifications and Requirements:
We seek candidates with expertise in one of the following areas:
- Biomaterial Synthesis and Drug/Gene Delivery: Candidates hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Nanomaterials or a related field. Proven experience in biomaterial design and synthesis or nanoparticle synthesis and characterization is required.
- Stem Cell and Skeletal Tissue Regeneration: Candidates hold a Ph.D. in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, with significant experience in stem cells, molecular biology techniques, gene therapy, small animal surgery, or tissue engineering.
