LOCATION: PENDER, NE
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Monday – Friday. This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
ABOUT US: Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership (NENCAP), INC is a private, nonprofit corporation. NENCAP serves an income-eligible population in a 14-county area of Northeast Nebraska with programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, WIC/Immunizations, Healthy Families, Weatherization, and Family Services, free tax preparation, car seat programs, Veteran Services, Commodity Supplemental Food Program, and food pantries.
JOB SUMMARY: The HR Director will lead critical functions essential to organizational success.
· Recruitment and Onboarding: Direct job postings, candidate selection, and onboarding processes.
· Employee Relations: Manage conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
· Benefit Liaison: Interface with benefit providers, ensuring seamless employee enrollment and follow-up.
· Records Management: Maintain personnel records and compile statistical reports on hires, transfers, and appraisals.
· Policy Communication: Inform current and prospective employees on policies, job duties, and career advancement.
· Payroll Oversight: Ensure timely submission of personnel forms for payroll processing.
· Compliance Management: Handle Family Medical Leave requests and administer the Agency’s drug-free workplace policy.
· Representation and Analysis: Represent the organization in personnel hearings and analyze data to improve policies.
· Employee Engagement: Conduct exit interviews, oversee job evaluations, and manage Workers Compensation claims.
· Team Leadership: Supervise HR Assistant Director and HR Assistant ensuring cohesive operations.
This role is pivotal in fostering a productive and supportive workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources (HR concentration preferred), Professional HR certification (desired), proven experience in HR management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
