University of Hawai‘i, Kapi‘olani Community College, Health Education Non-Credit (HENC), is seeking applications for the Program Assistant-School Health Aid Assistant Program (Casual Hire). Important note: Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave). Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under lead instructor’s supervision, assist in preparing classroom for skills training

Assist lead instructor with tabulating student grades and correcting student assignments

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Possession of a high school diploma and two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience as a School Health Assistant; or equivalent education/training or experience.

Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions per lead instructor
-
Demonstrated ability to work with adult and non-traditional learners both in-person and online
Desirable Qualifications:
-
Successful work experience to be able to assist lead instructor in a classroom setting
