JOB OVERVIEW:
The Business Partner is a trusted partner that works collaboratively with a cluster of member agencies to achieve Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) goals. The Business Partner will serve as a member of the Human Resources team providing a wide range of human resources services to a variety of internal clients with dissimilar clients and goals. The Business Partner will serve as an internal consultant to management teams, supervisors, and employees on human resources issues that affect performance and business relationships. The Business Partner is responsible for managing a broad array of human resources programs including onboarding and offboarding of employees, employee relations, performance management and talent assessment, salary, compensation, job evaluations, benefits, promotions, equal opportunity initiatives, and education and training. The Business Partner will travel as needed to the various locations that comprise the PHMC enterprise. The Business Partner is responsible for ensuring that PHMC is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, EEO, and Wage and Hour.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in human resources, business administration, or a related academic field
- Preferred: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
Experience
- Six or more years of generalist experience in a high-volume, fast-paced professional services organization with 2,000+ employees serving multiple sites
- Applied experience in a broad range of employee-related programs including employee relations, policy administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, benefits administration, compensation, and salary planning
- Experience and comfort in consulting with managers, including the ability to provide candid and direct feedback

- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and support senior-level initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to effectively explain issues, express opinions, ask questions, actively listen, and consider alternative ideas
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational agility

- Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated sense of urgency with the ability to remain flexible and shift priorities quickly
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. (intermediate to advanced skill level preferred)
COMPENSATION:
- Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
