About the Opportunity
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas seeks a Chief Impact Officer (CIO) who will collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer as part of the senior management team to establish a strategic vision and guiding philosophy that will inform short-term and long-term impact goals for Program service delivery. This is a strategic staff leadership position charged with evaluating and rebuilding the resources and organizational structure, program portfolio and partnership approach that will allow the organization to achieve and propel our mission. The CIO will work in a collaborative and inclusive capacity with other members of the executive staff to coordinate and execute the mission of BBBSCTX. The person in this role should be a catalyst with a vision who can create excitement combined with energy around the BBBSCTX programs and is persuasive, persistent, & determined in pursuit of the organization’s goals.
Key Priorities & Responsibilities
· Lead multiple departments towards achieving our mission through an integrated and strategic approach that results in measurable positive impact for all stakeholders, the department specifically and the organization generally.
· Align IT, training, program development, program delivery, outcomes measurement and monitoring to the work of strategy and implementation.
· Ensure decisions across Programs, Training & DEI are coordinated, aligned and designed to result in targeted outcomes, while working collaboratively with all other departments.
· Identify, demonstrate, and lead the interconnectedness between quality programming and operational excellence.
· Identify and lead execution of defined strategies that will lead to impact and attainment of long- and short-term agency goals, while regularly monitoring their progress.
· Provide oversight for internal processes within Programs, Training & DEI departments to ensure seamless and coordinated implementation for both internal and external stakeholders.
· Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and work as a member of the Executive Team to refine organizational strategy and goals ensuring the vision and mission are realized through innovation, clear prioritization, and high impact operational execution.
· Demonstrate consistent quality; set timelines and determine resources needed to achieve team goals and work collaboratively with staff to lead and improve program activities, cross functional teamwork and organizational learning.
· Track performance toward key agency goals and objectives in the Program, Training & DEI departments using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
· Oversee data analysis to continually monitor progress towards goal and adapt departmental actions to meet programmatic needs.
· Measure and communicate internally and externally our agency’s impact.
· Key external communicator regarding Program Models, Implementation, and Impact.
· Ensure that leading-edge research, field-based evidence, community insights and stakeholder input drive the design and implementation of all programs.
· Develop goals and deliverables for current/prospective programs and ensure all programmatic deliverables and commitments to participants, funders and other partners are met.
· Manage, enhance and maintain all program processes including accurate records within departments and in accordance with Agency and National Standards of Practice, including a. Appropriate screening and matching of volunteers, youth and families with a focus on child safety, and including professional communication with all interested parties, b. Excellent customer service, supervision and coaching of matches to encourage strong relationships, positive outcomes, and ensure child safety.
· Support and champion BBBSCTX’s JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) initiatives both internally and externally.
· Help cultivate an inclusive and innovative culture that empowers the Programs, IT, and Training & DEI team to identify and solve challenges.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience overall, with at least five to seven years of executive/senior leadership experience managing a complex program in a sophisticated organization with a reputation for quality and excellence.
· Management and supervisory experience in a non-profit environment, ideally in a youth-serving/human service environment preferred.
· High degree of experience with human resource and grants management.
· Ability to work with many diverse constituencies.
· The successful candidate will display a record of leadership and accomplishment with a proven track record with customer service deliverables.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
· Demonstrated experience in successfully working with a Board of Directors and/or committees.
· Multilingual abilities with English as one of the primary languages (preferred).

· Leadership expertise cultivating, hiring, and managing a high-performing team.
· Demonstrated effectiveness managing diverse stakeholders including but not limited to executives, employee groups, external vendors, and program participants.
· Excellent written and verbal communications along with presentation skills, while being a persuasive, credible, and polished communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy.
· Proven influencing and relationship building.
Work Environment
· Routine office environment. This position is located in our Austin office.
· Hybrid work schedule as created to fit the needs of the role.
· Local and overnight travel may be required.
