Step into Your New Role
The IT Enterprise Solutions Development Manager leads the design, implementation, and governance of solutions aligned with Kleinfelder's business objectives, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and focuses on empowering the business through automation and data-driven solutions. The Development Manager will also provide direction and guidance to developers to manage custom applications, build integrations between business systems, and bridge gaps in low code tools. The ideal candidate should have technical proficiency in the Microsoft stack, with an emphasis on Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI). They should also have experience leading a team of developers, possess excellent communication skills, and have a keen interest in understanding and enabling the business.
This is a remote position with preference for locations near an existing Kleinfelder office.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement: Spearhead the creation of custom solutions, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform foundational technologies such as connectors, forms, and flows when possible. Ensure alignment with business needs and demonstrate user-friendly design. Architect custom integrations between core business applications, data warehouse, and low code solutions.
- Collaborate and Translate: Work alongside cross-functional teams to convert complex business requirements into scalable software architectures. Lead discovery and design work sessions. Identify and prioritize business use cases.
- Manage and Maintain: Manage custom and low code/no code (Power Platform) environments and provide governance for a growing Citizen Developer base. Lead team to conduct technical reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables and to provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications.
- Teach and Share: Evaluate emerging and next generation AEC industry-related technologies and provide technical direction and guidance to implement and integrate beneficial technology. Establish standards and best practices. Manage maintenance of end user documentation and runbooks.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Stack including Azure, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, DevOps with a focus in developing Low Code/No Code solutions.
- Strong understanding of APIs and web development methodologies including (Angular, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST and Odata).
- Experience with data sources such as Dataverse and SQL Server.
- Azure environment management for custom development scenarios.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills. Experience managing stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to understand complex systems and think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and to manage time and changing priorities.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and managing development efforts including establishing technical architecture, developing, and implementing requirements, developing user stories, and solution implementation.
- Experience with preparing and presenting technical design to stakeholders.
- Experience with Azure AI services and Azure Machine Learning desired.
- Understanding of UX principles greatly desired.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in computer science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of Microsoft stack (Azure, SQL Server, O365, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and software development experience (C#, React, Angular, Node.js)
- 3+ years of experience with Power Platform (Power Apps (Model and Canvas), Power Automate, and Power BI)
- 2 or more years of experience managing or in a leadership position.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $93,918-$164,725.
