The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation.
The Chaldean Community Foundation is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Development Instructor for classroom instruction Monday through Friday in the afternoon. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and curriculum development.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Develop a curriculum for early childhood instruction for children up to the age 5 years old, with a focus on topics such as literacy, STEM, music, art, and other typical core education subjects.
· Provide classroom-based instruction (virtual when applicable) to attendees.
· Maintain and update curriculum to respond to relevant academic changes and standards.
· Engage attendees in classroom instruction and activity to promote family interactions centered on learning and literacy.
· Attend meetings with the CCF Department of Education to provide updates on classroom activity and curriculum.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
· A valid State of Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement; or
· Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching.
· Experience building an early education curriculum.
· 2-3 years of experience in classroom instruction preferred.
· Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach.
· Must be able to navigate classroom and adjust tone and height, by bending or leaning, to teach each child.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $1.00 per hour
