Job Description:
Director, Business Reporting & Analytics
Exciting Opportunity at MSK We are seeking a highly skilled experienced leader to lead our Business Reporting & Analytics Function focusing on data-driven Human Resources requirements and related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, technology reporting & analytics platforms/products and project management, with a proven track record of leveraging data to inform decision-making at the executive level and middle management levels.
Role Overview:
- Partner with the HR Leadership Team and IT Teams to manage technology reporting & analytics priorities and initiatives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive reporting and analytics technology strategy to support the HR Organization's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for platform and architecture optimization.
- Lead a team of technical analysts to ensure accurate and timely reporting, data visualization, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with HR, Business Informatics and IT cross-functional teams to define and develop reporting and analytics solutions supporting HR, Employee Health Services and Finance, including defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and establishing data governance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools, leveraging technology to increase efficiency, accuracy and speed to deliver.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in reporting and analytics, especially Workday, leveraging worksheets and discover boards and recommending innovative solutions to enhance decision-making capabilities.
- Experience leveraging Workday reporting tools like Drive (Discovery Board, Worksheets, slides) and Dashboards to modern reporting and speed up access.
Key Qualifications:
- 10+ plus years of progressive experience in reporting & analytics with a focus on HR and Finance, with a proven track record of success in data analysis and reporting.
- A solid understanding of HR Technology Platforms with specific experience in Workday and Prism Analytics.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Experience leveraging Workday reporting tools like Drive (Discovery Board, Worksheets, slides) and Dashboards to modern reporting and speed up access.
- Experience working in a multi-platform architecture involving complex integrations and ability to navigate data access to assemble reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Core Skills:
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing a team of analysts, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable technical recommendations.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

- Hybrid Schedule: Flexibility to be at MSK’s New York City sites for collaborative meetings & projects.
