Healthcare Programs and Grants Specialist – Salem, Oregon
WFMC Health is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Salem, Oregon, providing primary, specialty, and mental healthcare services to a diverse population of patients residing in Marion and Polk counties. WFMC is seeking a Healthcare Programs and Grants Specialist to join our administrative team. The WFMC environment is collegial and collaborative. WFMC is searching for a methodical, detail and strategy oriented individual who will focus on two key areas: 1. Identifying, applying for, and tracking, an array of local and national funding opportunities for new and existing clinic programs and projects; and 2. taking ownership of the application process for FQHC/FQHC Look-Alike status with CMS and assuring ongoing regulatory compliance related to FQHC/FQHC Look-Alike designation.
Qualifications:
A master’s degree in public or healthcare administration, with a focus on the needs of underserved communities.
WFMC will consider candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of progressive experience successfully managing, writing and submitting multiple grant/contract proposals, including large multi-year awards, and significant work experience related to Federal healthcare programs.
Impeccable writing and communication skills.
Ability to present progress reports and grant proposals to large groups.
Desirable Characteristics:
· General understanding of non-profit organization structure and funding resources. Some accounting experience, including financial reporting associated with grant awards.
· General understanding of Oregon CCO Medicaid program administration.
· Preference may be given to candidates who have experience in a nonprofit healthcare setting.

Job Type: Full-time. Some remote work possible, but a regular in-clinicpresence is required.
Pay: $28-$35 an hour depending on experience and qualifications.
