General Job Description
*Under the supervision of the assigned Site Coordinator/Site Manager, the Licensed Clinical Psychologist II will provide mental health assessments counseling services, and clinical testing to a diverse patient population as an independent practitioner.
Job Roles
*Completes all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards; in addition, documentation complies with patients' insurance requirements.
*Performs age-appropriate psychological testing, including creation of summary reports.
*Performs initial and on-going assessments for assigned patients. Participates in development of patients' individualized care plans, in a timely and thorough manner.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
*Provides clinical testing for patients.
*Provides treatment to assigned patients within scope of practice, meeting program/department productivity and quality standards. Demonstrates awareness of transference and counter-transference issues and addresses them as they arise. Addresses co-occurring disorders, factoring them into patient's treatment plan. Demonstrates clinical skills and judgment necessary to implement the treatment plan.
*Works effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Communicates with providers, physicians, case managers, scheduling staff, referring providers, and with outside agencies and authorities, in a timely and appropriate manner. Connects patients to internal/external resources as appropriate; accurately documents referrals.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
*Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving with 7 years.
*Current California clinical licensure (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) required.
*Experience in providing counseling services to varying population groups; expertise in partner violence treatment preferred.
*Experience in school-based or other non-traditional settings preferred.
*PhD in Clinical Psychology, or other qualifying educational program that meets California Licensure requirements.
*Psychological testing experience required.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
*Ability to maintain good interpersonal interactions with clients and co-workers as a member of a multi-disciplinary community health team with a diverse multi-cultural population.
*Basic computer literacy (i.e., use system to manage and schedule appointments, access electronic medical record information).
*Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
*Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
*Knowledge of behavior modification theories.
*Knowledge of current counseling theories and best practices.
Relocation Reimbursement: FHCSD will offer relocation reimbursement of up to $3000 for licensed clinicians relocating from outside San Diego County. The employee must follow the Family Health Centers of San Diego relocation policy and submit receipts documenting relocation expenses. The reimbursement amount is taxable and will be paid out after the employee has begun employment with Family Health Centers of San Diego. Should the Employee's employment terminate before 12 months, the Employee will be required to return the prorated amount to Family Health Centers of San Diego within 30 days of the termination date regardless of the reason for termination.
Sign-on Bonus: Family Health Centers of San Diego will provide a Sign-On Bonus of $7000 for full-time employment (if part-time the bonus will be pro-rated). This bonus will be paid in two payments of $3500 each. The first payment will be made at the six-month anniversary of employment and the second payment at the 12-month anniversary of employment.
Remote work: Family Health Centers of San Diego is pleased to provide remote work-from-home options for this position for employees who successfully pass their probationary period and meet and or exceed productivity measures.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
$98,700.00 - $117,600.00If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
