ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
Reporting to the Founder and Executive Director of Matthew 25, the Director of Operations will lead internal operations and have the following responsibilities:
1. Operational Oversight and Strategic Design
- Strategic thought partner with Executive Director, Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, working to ensure both short and long-term organizational success.
- Integrator of day to day operations of Matthew 25 into a sustainable operating system that aligns with organizational mission and vision
- Work with department directors to support program quality and revenue generation through various social enterprises, evaluating existing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Work with Controller and Leadership Team to implement KPI’s and scorecards that keep
- Matthew 25 focused and effective
- Develop and implement standardized policies, procedures and protocols
- Regularly work with leaders to review and update policies adapting to changing needs and legal requirements
- Identify and mitigate operational risks through planning, non-financial audits and compliance reviews
2. Financial/HR Analysis and Improvement
- Provide general oversight of financial and administrative functions, including human resources, risk management and compliance.
- Work in partnership with Controller and Executive Director to facilitate the budgeting process
- Supervise Controller and work closely with finance team to develop and monitor organization’s budget
- Work with Finance Team and Directors to provide human resource management
3. Team Builder
- Nurture effective working relationships and cultivate values of Matthew 25 with employees
- Collaborate with Executive Director on setting agendas and facilitating Leadership, Team and Core Support meetings
- Willingness to engage in hands-on work and learn from team members
- Instill a human capital development and coaching culture within Matthew 25
- Plan and assign work to others on the team based on goals, talents, and strengths.
4. Physical asset preservation, technology and infrastructure
- Work with NB Director to periodically review building assets, upcoming maintenance costs and financial planning for future preservation and expansion of assets
- Oversee the selection, implementation and maintenance of technology systems and infrastructure carried out by the Office Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE (include but are not limited to the following)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration or related field and 5+ years of experience
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles
- Knowledge of databases and ability to create reports
- Knowledge of functional not-for-profit business processes
- Basic HR knowledge and ability to keep up with latest laws and requirements
- Knowledge of metric and dashboard development preferred
- Knowledge of nonprofit governance and compliance
- Understanding of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) laws and regulations preferred
- Understanding of FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) laws and regulations preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
