Postdoctoral Research Scholar
Job Description
The applicant will be part of the Greer lab in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology & Neuroscience at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. The appointed individual will be a key contributor within a research team. They will conduct original research in memory formation and transcriptional regulation. The lab implements a variety of techniques including functional genomic analysis by next-generation sequencing, behavioral analysis, fluorescent microscopy, and genetic/mRNA manipulations. Develop productive working relationships with Principal Investigator and other lab members.

- Experimental design, procedure optimization, and data analysis
- Develop understanding of relevant literature
- Writing: manuscript preparation and grant writing
- Oral: present data at internal and national meetings
- Participate in training and mentorship of junior lab members
- Participate in collaborative work
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
M.D. or PhD Required
Qualifications
PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Biology, or related field.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
