HR Generalist
Job Description
Warm Beach Senior Community, located in South Stanwood, is a non-profit ministry of the Free Methodist Church with 56 years of service to the elderly and the community. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team!
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing support of the daily functions of the Human Resources Department, to include policy and process documentation and organization, recruitment initiatives, compliance, reporting, benefit implementations, safety, and employee relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for full-cycle recruiting including, but not limited to, posting job ads, scheduling interviews, making offers, checking backgrounds and references, tracking pre-hire paperwork, and conducting onboarding and benefits administration
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director
- Assist with the employee grievance process, investigate discrimination, harassment, and other complaints, and assist supervisors with disciplinary actions and mediation according to appropriate policies
- Reporting: track accident data for OSHA and L&I compliance
- Track and manage annual training requirements. Perform monthly audit of exclusion screenings list.
- Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, pay changes, status changes, transfers, and promotions
- Process all leaves of absence paperwork (FMLA) monitors tracking of leave.
- Proficient in using ADP, Excel, and Word
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, healthcare or a related field or three (3) years’ experience in human resources in a healthcare, hospitality, senior living, or related field.
- Advanced computer skills; Excel, MS Office And ADP HIRS Oral and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism.
- Working knowledge of employment law.
- Self-starter who works collaboratively with members of the Leadership Team
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred. It is expected that upon hire you will work towards professional certification(s).
This role has a regular business hours schedule and compensation will be $62-70K depending on experience. The HR Generalist will have the opportunity to transition into an HR manager position.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- HR Generalist: 3 years (Required)
- Employment & labor law: 1 year (Preferred)
- Full cycle recruiting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)
