SUMMARY
Rosemont College is seeking adjunct instructors to join our faculty to teach a variety of Accounting courses, specifically Financial Accounting One and Two this spring along with Managerial Accounting.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE*
The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for:
- Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi.
- Supervising the study and learning activities of students.
- Evaluating the academic progress of students.
- Submitting course grades
- Scheduling office hours.
- Providing reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities.
- Regularly communicating with the discipline coordinator on issues related to student performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Accounting required; Ph.D. and Post doctoral candidates or CPA optional
- Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in Accounting
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Cultural sensitivity to diverse populations
- Openness and willingness to request, receive, and provide constructive feedback
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, OneDrive, and Canvas
