Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
One of 12 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Robert H. Smith School of Business is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. The Smith School offers undergraduate, full/part time MBA, Master of Science, Executive MBA, PhD, and non-degree executive education programs. The school is consistently ranked among the top business schools by leading business publications such as U.S. News & World Report, Financial Times, Business Week, and The Wall Street Journal.
The Decision, Operations & Information Technologies Department at the Smith School of Business is currently seeking to fill a Professional Track Faculty position. This full-time, non-tenure track faculty position may be in one of the Lecturers or Clinical Professors categories, depending on education, and previous work experience. A PhD is expected; however, significant industry experience at the executive level will also be considered.

Candidates must be able to teach courses in Information Systems courses, with preference to those able to also teach object-oriented programming (Python highly desired) in addition to VBA, Excel, and Database Management Systems, primarily at the undergraduate levels. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data are a definite plus. Evidence of teaching quality and ability to provide leadership in teaching excellence are the most important qualifications.
